This recipe simplifies the classic spaghetti Bolognese by cooking everything in one pot, making it easy for both preparation and cleanup. It's a delicious and hearty meal that's sure to be a hit with kids. You can also add extra veggies like diced bell peppers or carrots for added nutrition.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 2 cups beef or vegetable broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for serving

Instructions:

  1. In a large pot or deep skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat, breaking it into small crumbles as it cooks.

  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the pot and sauté until the onion is translucent.

  3. Pour in the crushed tomatoes, beef or vegetable broth, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.

  4. Break the spaghetti in half and add it to the pot, ensuring that it's submerged in the liquid.

  5. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer. Cover and cook for about 15-20 minutes or until the spaghetti is tender, stirring occasionally.

  6. Once the spaghetti is cooked, check the seasoning and adjust if necessary.

  7. Serve the one-pot spaghetti Bolognese with a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese on top.
