What is a menstrual cup?

A menstrual cup is a reusable, bell-shaped device made from medical-grade silicone, latex, or rubber. It is designed to collect menstrual blood.
It is inserted into the vagina and forms a seal, preventing leaks and providing a sustainable alternative to disposable tampons and pads. Menstrual cups come in various sizes and shapes to accommodate different users and flow levels.
To use a menstrual cup, it is folded for insertion and then opens up inside the vagina, creating a secure seal. The cup is emptied, rinsed, and reinserted every 4 to 12 hours, depending on the individual's flow. Menstrual cups are eco-friendly, as they can be reused for several years with proper care.

Review of the Mooncup June 2019
Went for a size A as I have had a vaginal birth. Came in a nice bag.
As advised in the instructions I cut the bottom bit as it hung out and was uncomfortable.
It is really 'messy' trying to get it in and I could always feel it there. I tried for 3 of my periods and it kept falling out or felt really uncomfortable.
Verdict - I gave up.
Cost: £21.67

Thought I'd give it another go. Again went for the bigger size as I advised. Still messy, still uncomfortable, and still kept popping out.
I googled it and apparently, if you've had a prolapse it can cause issues.
Verdict: I gave up
Cost: 9.99 and the same quality as the mooncup.
